I only had positive interactions. In the early 90s, I travelled across America with Greyhound, backpacked from NY to California, slept on the bus to save money. One passenger travelling with his young son noticed that I didn't eat at the rest stop. He bought a sandwich and a Coke, gave them to me and all he says was: ''Merry Christmas!''.
