more specifically though, I don't care if someone wants to use my code in some proprietary blob. I don't really care about forcing people to keep things GPL, as I find that to be more restricting than needed.
The only exception would be if I want to follow the "give back" strategy where I want to be able to fold any forked bits of code back into my own. However I do not care about this for most of my personal projects.
There's also the bits about specifically the gplv3 license regarding tivoization where I think the license steps outside of its boundaries. The license shouldn't be telling people how to deploy software or that they cannot put restrictions on such a deployment.
