I've seen a lot of older guys do this boomer bodycam thing of carrying their phone in their shirt pocket camera-up.

First with a financial manager I had years ago who did it 100% of the time (certainly recording), and I don't trust that there isn't something distrustful or nefarious going on. Like they suspect you may later misrepresent something they did/said, or that you might suddenly jump them or something.
