Imagine one that's popular, with people standing around sipping coffee or margaritas or whatnot, chatting. And there's a parent with a kid in a stroller about to cross the street behind them.
An approaching driver just sees a bunch of people, assumes they are in the parklet and does the usual thing of just rolling through the intersection to get to their thing. And hits the parent and kid, who'd been proceeding into the intersection because they couldn't see the car approaching through the crowd in the parklet.
