all failed endeavors are doomed from the start because of determinism but I don't think that's what Harris' team means. they mean different decisions made during the campaign would not have changed the outcome which is not true. the problem with determinism is that the conditions at the beginning of something determine the decisions made during its course. so in this case the people who were put in charge of running the campaign.
