Longleaf Pine Savannah in the Green Swamp, North Carolina. This was *the* ecosystem type of most of the Southeast United States before Europeans arrived. (Though with much larger adult pines). Also interesting? This is the native habitat of Venus Flytraps. There were dozens (if not hundreds) in this area!
