It's seems as if you would start from whatever number you entered say 5 for example and you would do 5 - 1 + 5 which is 4 + 5 but you wouldn't actually solve this yet, you would move on to next iteration which is 4 - 1 + 4 which is 3 + 4 but again you would continue to 3 - 1 + 3 which is 2 + 3 we keep going 2 - 1 + 2 which is 1 + 2 then we keep going to 1 - 1 + 1 which is 0 + 1 then you would work your way back doing
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 to get the final answer which is 15
