The end of the year is rough for me, between holidays alone (with no gifts, no calls, no nothing -- no one checks in on me at all) and the anniversaries of some loved ones' deaths and other difficult events.

I turned up the heat at the end of December to help me get through, all the way up to 66F / 18.8C.

Now it's too cold to run the heat pump at all & I'm scared about the gas bill for the furnace.

I've just turned it down to 64F/17.7C by day & 60F/15.5C by night. Wish me luck! 1/n
