I get why people are skeptical of #bluesky and are protective of the #fediverse world we have built, but people, I am hear to say that bluesky's AT protocol is actually good, particularly how it handles federated, secure, portable identity.

If this could be combined with WhatsApp's new key transparency, then we could finally have an actual solution to federated, usable, secure identity and public key verification. The pieces are all there, open protocols and solid free software implementations.
