I suspect the lack of an algorithm feeding their content to the masses is part of it. Everything here is real time. If a post is engaging then it gets shared/boosted and keeps it fresh in other people’s feeds. If it is boring and uninteresting then nobody boosts it and it gets buried. Flooding people’s feed with more boring posts is a good way to get unfollowed. The goal must be providing true value (humor, right-provoking, artistically interesting, helpful, etc) and doing so with proper frequency so as to be interesting and additive to people’s day, not distracting and boring.
