I'm surprised that with the recent explosion of interest in vintage computing there hasn't been any recent videos or writing about Tekserve, NYC's original independent Apple Store
I was lucky to spend some time there when I first moved to NYC. My first job in the city was at an architecture firm close to 23rd Street. I would bring in iMacs that had a factory defect on ATI GPUs, to repair them under Apple's free service program
It closed in 2016 after almost 30 years. The rent was too damn high
