It should be a high resolution jpg. If I open the image in Nostrudel it shows me the correct file / link. In another client you might get the cached files but the raw data of the note contains the correct links as well.
As for printing, you get the best results printing them on A3 so you might need to go to a copyshop. Also, print them without margins and print to the edge of the paper. The margins are already in the designs, but you might have to test what works best for you.
