Absolutely true. I think the poster doesn't actually know what is going on. "Homeschooling" is being shoved by the right as a way to force women back into the home. It has nothing to do with what is best for the kids. Nobody is advocating men "homeschool" their kids--only women. For the most part, it doesn't work, if parents are not monitored closely by school districts to make sure the kids are learning what they are supposed to be learning. It is no coincidence it is being coupled with the destruction of legal abortion. They go together. It has nothing to do with what is best for kids. Private schools are basically a joke. As long as parents can threaten to pull their kids out of those schools, these schools will always be corrupt and cater to the whims of what the parents want, including cooking grades so the kids don't fail. Teachers are paid far worse on average in private schools, especially the religious ones, have no pension system to speak of, and the schools have very high turnover of teaching staff because of the poor pay.
