Whoa, weird 6-degrees sort of connection in my vinyl playlist the last few days: Just listened to Laurie Anderson's Mister Heartbreak, the last track of which has guest vocals by William S. Burroughs, and the other day, Catherine Graindorge's Songs for the Dead, about Joan Vollmer who was killed by her husband, William S. Burroughs.
If only I had put on some Bowie afterward (esp. since Adrian Belew + Nile Rodgers are on Mister Heartbreak), but, alas, I reached for Swordfishtrombones instead...
