The original Domesday Book? Still there. The “New” Domesday book? A 900th anniversary project to mark the original. Huge effort, lots of school kids involved, joint project with the BBC and some computer companies, run between 1984-6, and all saved to laser read only discs. Which eventually? Became inaccessible, as the computers which could read them vanished. There have been digitisation efforts, yes - but so far, most of this work is apparently unavailable.
