Predictions are very perishable right now, but I'm offering a new one anyway: if Masto/Misskey/ do not radically extend their technology to include feed generators at least as good as Bluesky's, and assuming that Sky federates, and very soon, the race to our online future is going to be between Meta and BlueSky. That could be a good thing if in the end Sky stays pure and doesn't pivot to surveillance capitalism. Big if.
