No, possums are not "natural" to Alaska. This girl, Grubby, ended up in Alaska because she hitched a ride in a shipping container from Washington State. She was in Homer, AK for about a month before she was caught and now lives at the Alaska Zoo. She is considered an "invasive species" and many wanted her killed. Not happening! She is safe and sound at the zoo.
