Looking at this Switch 2 announcement video I am fairly certain that Nintendo was indeed forced a bit by those leaks. Cause that video doesn't look like a final version with the Nintendo-quality polish on it.
And with the Switch 2 Direct announced for April my guess is that they wanted to keep this under wraps at least till the end of March.
