Alp on Nostr: When I was in my 20s, I was told, 'when you’re over 30, you’ll understand this.' ...
When I was in my 20s, I was told, 'when you’re over 30, you’ll understand this.'
When I was in my 30s, someone told me, 'you’ll understand this once you’re over 40.'
When I was in my 40s, someone said to me, 'you’ll understand this when you’re over 50.'
And... what can I say, they were all right. Ten years are not nothing. They change you fundamentally. So much so that you shake your head at your former self (and others of the same age) and think, 'what an idiot I was.'
Today, no one needs to tell me that I will understand some things better in my 60s; I have learned my lesson.
Have you? Or is your ego still getting in the way?
