I'm doing some research for a talk, and honestly, watching (some) men discuss why women leave cyber is hilarious.
It's like watching young teens who haven't yet dated discuss how they'll do relationships. All confidence and judgement and clarity, with absolutely zero knowledge to back it up.
So far I've seen:
- just don't feel excluded. Being different isn't being excluded. I should know because I'm a white guy who does Filipino Martial Arts.
- women say they drop out because of family reasons, but men have families too! (You're so close, buddy)
- "just carve out a year or two to have kids (like I did)"
