I've just read an accomplished person in a non-technical field describe a system whereby a series of business rules are executed by a computer atop data submitted by human users as a form of "procedural AI".
Having spent many years being paid to build such systems, I'm perhaps old fashioned in calling them "computer programmes".
If, for non-technical people, "AI" can now mean anything, it means nothing. This may be helpful for those in the business of selling very little for lots of money.
