Im clearly not familiar with your climate. Could you do large areas of repeat cover crops and chop and drop those areas to help build biomass?

I'll be interested to read about your progress and methods. If you get a chance check out this if you already haven't. I found it really interesting even though my climate is subtropical the ideas with it are really cool
