We each try to control our fears in different ways.
My way USED to be to get as closed to the wall as possible.
Whatever wall you’re looking for, you’ll find it. And sooner or later you won’t even realize it’s a wall any more. You’ll perceive it as just life.
When our mind is searching for the wall, we’ll see it when it doesn’t even exist.
A dangerous focus on the wall will drive us towards what we know; not what we want. When we try to look away from the wall it can feel intensely uncomfortable, and then instead of sitting in this discomfort, most people return to what is known EVEN IF it makes them unhappy.
Don’t let your wall become your world.
