I understand today that Monero is far more than a crypto currency, it's now a whole libertarian movement, all around the world, people are adopting Monero in real life, this is the bigger picture, Monero is a disruptive revolution, a singularity who don't a fuck about being delisted or declared illicit by an authoritarian regime, amazing 😄
It's happening, Monero is becoming mainstream day after day, we can see it in many articles, not so long it was Forbes, the privacy and freedom is becoming a real society question, and so Monero seems to be the actual solution, or at least one of many.
well maybe Bitcoin will evolve to become more private, but at some point Bitcoin is stuck, because the whole value of it is to be public, transparent, non fungible, traceable and so not a threat to the authority, just becoming an extension of the actual fiat system (that's why they need to have a "strategic reserve"), if Bitcoin become too much private, we should expect a fork to happen (or law enforcement upon miners to blacklist address and so and so) because Bitcoin will become the bad guy (like Saylor said clearly), the big money will move to the new compliant censored fork, and the worse of it is that Bitcoin will become like Bitcoin Cash, where it's not really secure because the Hashrate will move to the censored fork because of the monetary incentive (and maybe "regulations") and so 51% attack will be easy on BTC, resulting in a massive fall of value because of the lack of security... and... the digital Gold attribute will eventually be reconsidered btw...
The big question for Monero today is the actual Hashrate, that's why everyone who love freedom and privacy should mine Monero just for supporting the network, 24/7 if you can is cool 🍺
We can expect the situation to evolve pretty quickly, Monero will go upward to infinity or fall to the ground, but it's clearly not what we are seeing today, interesting time to be.
Whatever, Monero is something really really big, too big to stay on the status quo and be ignored, it have the potential to impact a whole society, it's maybe our best weapon against the CBDC to come. A fight seems to emerge, a digital fight, the fight of internet, a fight for human dignity, freedom and financial privacy.
Maybe we should ask ourselves, is it normal that Monero is under attack because it give the ability to conduct private transactions ? Is it normal that CIA had a HQ in twitter for controlling the information in a so called democratic freedom country ? Is it normal that banks are pushing for a fully programmable & controllable digital money where they can decide how you can use your "own" money very precisely? It will even be possible to put an expiration date, can you imagine that ?
If we haven't choice, we can't be free. We are going to lose our ability to reject the government's actions. Check in 2022, Canada truckers, how it was quick to freeze their bank accounts... something is wrong here isn't ?
Like Friedrich Hayek said so well in 1984 "I don’t believe we shall ever have a good money again before we take the thing out of the hands of government, that is, we can’t take them violently out of the hands of government, all we can do is by some sly roundabout way introduce something they can’t stop."
