It's okay to mention such terms as long as they're properly defined so people can easily understand what they mean.
This reminds me of the "storm surge" usage during Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Residents and grassroots level officials didn't know what it actually means, which led to confusion and, sadly, death and devastation.
Jargon should always be avoided, or at least properly explained, when disseminating information to the public. Otherwise, just save it for internal comms. 🤷♀️
