The problem with that is the partition layout on the disk. UEFI uses an EFI system partition. Legacy boot wants a "BIOS boot" partition.
You might be able to boot with a rescue USB in legacy mode, chroot inside the installed OS, replace the UEFI GRUB with the BIOS one, and run grub-install. But it would be easy to break your system.
