A few days ago I got tired of my scroll wheel, it was working fine for 3/4 of a turn and then missing or even going backwards the other 1/4, very annoying.
I decided that I was done with that so I fixed it by opening it and cleaning the resistive sensor for the wheel.
I like to fix stuff (mine and others) and it's even better when they say to you "It doesn't matter what happens to it, it's already broken"
