The thing about the closed systems - and I assume that Threads will fall into this category - is that their algorithm will hurl stuff at you to try to get you to engage. Especially inflamitory posts which will get you angrily replying, which all counts as “engagement”. There is a fundamental problem with systems which try to maximize engagement without regard for what form the engagement takes.
