I had *no idea* that #SQLite basically came out of a side project to build a resilient database aboard the USS Oscar Austin, a Navy destroyer in the early 2000’s.
Many of us try to play down the link between the defence industry and tech, or at least position it as something we've moved past - but this is so on the nose for me.
