if there's like 20 different things that exist, but basically everybody uses the same One of those available things, and acts weird if you're using one of the other 19, i'm inclined to feel a bit suspicious of the One that everybody uses. i feel like it can't possibly deserve it. like maybe it does, maybe it is better for everybody. but how likely is that? i think there's a 50% chance it's actually the best one and a 50% chance it's some kind of monopolistic practices and/or herd behavior
