That whole thing is weird. I worked at a school for a little while and had to register people in. One Mexican family came in and the paperwork asked if they were Hispanic/Latino - obviously yes. Then it asked for their race after. They didn't know what to put...eventually decided on White because it was the closest thing they could really get? I find out later that they should go under "American Indian/Alaskan native" or whatever that option is, which is confusing.

Mexicans are also weird because you can have the majority Spanish Mexicans who have little native blood in them, then you have the native Mexicans who don't have too much Spanish in them. The Spanish Mexicans are usually the wealthier ones in power lol.
