This is where the Christmas tree in my neighborhood (in Nablus, Palestine) would have been lit, but the Christian community here chose not to light it up this year out of solidarity and mourning for our siblings in Gaza. This is the second Christmas without a lit tree. Celebrations will be limited to religious duties. Eids were similar.
