Relays are servers. No different than internet servers in their current form. The internet had the potential to grow this way from the beginning: self hosted domains, email, chat, news, social media, and videos. For many reasons, I suspect because the masses preferred convenience over privacy and freedom.
I struggle to understand how NOSTR will resist the same centralizing forces?
What does this protocol look like in 10 years?
