If there is a lesson to take away from this:
1. Don't use the same password for literally everything, and make it hard to crack (www[DOT]useapassphrase[DOT]com)
2. Don't download suspicious files or click links from suspicious emails
3. Disable password login through SSH if you own a web server
Password managers also are a huge help (keepassxc)
