What you have is a "3 way switch" setup. That can work with smart switches, but it can be tricky. Ideally the power coming in and the lights are wired to the same box and the other end is just a straight drop to the first box. I managed to get a 4 way working with that setup and a shelly relay.
As for the motion sensing, it is independent. You just may need more than one sensor to cover the whole length. If the relay and sensor are on wifi, you can connect them directly.
