The first Rio Grande tomato is ripening!
I started to grow this variety 6 years ago because it is disease resistant and therefore appropiate for the beginner gardener I was (and I am).
These grew from home saved (and fermented!) seed, no pruning, just a stake to keep them upright. They can be grown on the ground, but this is the Basque Country.
