Super pleasant surprise this morning. One of my favourite #wildedibles just showing up near my morning hike. Surprisingly I have never seen it in bloom. Attached is a picture I drew 6 years ago when I first learned of groundnuts. Wasn’t that off for having never seen the flours in person.
Groundnuts are said to be footsteps of First Nations as they are always near kanatas. They are a delicious potato like tuber that grows in a pear like chain.
They are mentioned in Walden.
