Ah, that is NIP-05. It doesn't hold much relevance in most cases. It can be used to help identify a user as genuine, but in this case, they have likely just misconfigured it. That happens a lot, so you won't often get much value from NIP-05 right now.

However it is good to be aware of that. If you spot a fake profile they will likely have a valid nip-05 address (copied from a real profile), but it won't properly resolve, because the npub is not the real user.

I opt not to list a nip-05 at this time myself, but it can be used if you have a live website available to park the file.

In this case, I will vouch for the user. :)

Basically nip-05 is a self-proclaimed identity. You use a website as a secondary check to validate yourself to others.
