I believe human nature will drive Nostr to exactly what the fediverse is today, but without "centralized" administration. A few intermingling "dark web" relays/accounts segregated from the Nostr version of fediblock. Then, some other guy will come around and say, "wow hey I've got this great new idea for decentralization because there's too much centralization on Nostr due to whitelist only relays" or whatever. Then we will start the cycle anew.
