I don't know that it would work here. The clampdown on any dissent has been so complete that most people are not aware of the dangers. They're still being kept in the 'be kind', 'most vulnerable' bubble. And once Trudeau is replaced as leader, an election will come fairly quickly. There won't be a two-year lead time like in the US.
