the wyoming food freedom act has been in place for about 8 years now and passed under a much less favorable legislature. it prohibits the state from preventing the production and sell of many uninspected foods.
there is nothing that prohibits private inspection in wyoming, but the sort of businesses that operate under this legislation typically allow customers to inspection or are otherwise transparent in operation. from my understanding current law allows grocery stores to sell uninspected products produced under food freedom bull so long as they are stored and labeled separately from inspected goods
certainly no reason to get hopes high, particularly since i should have began mobilizing for the legislation at least a year and a half ago, but likely to be introduced i think, probably not likely to make it to the floor but should it make it i expect at least 35-45% support as is, Potential for passing IF it makes the floor and there is enough grassroots effort behind it, which a petition, especially in hostile districts could help with.
but again no high hopes, session starts in another week and a half or so
