Visiting the Smithsonian's Museum of American History was very interesting. I got the impression that it would have been rather different if I visited 10 years ago. Today there seemed to be a very conscious effort on the Museum's part to be as diverse as possible in what they exhibited. And places where they couldn't (for example a giant circus banner), their accompanying text was very clear about some of the problematic issues that circuses presented.
Fantastic museum with good presentations.
