Humour is a curious thing isn't it? Not all humour easily passes borders into another country whereas you'd think it might if the language was the same. I know some stand-up comedians have made it outside of their country but most haven't. Cartoons perhaps pass more readily as they're kind of simpler in what they're trying to convey. Written humour is a local delicacy, only fully appreciated by "those in the know", as I've been finding out this past couple of days, and just been reported for.
