Maybe I'm just being hateful, but I think there might be a better language than python for talking to the embedded controller on framework laptops. It's pretty bad when the fanctrl process starts to chew off it's own arm and can't cool the cpu from all the work it's not doing.

On the other hand I don't really feel like trying to write something myself, at least not until the cooler months so thankfully restarting the process gets you out of whatever cpu hogging loop the script seems stuck in at least.
