Let‘s dive a bit into eccentricities. The most common eccentricity is 0, so circular orbit for larger planets. There is a hint of an eccentricity mass relationship but this is heavily observationally biased because close in planets are easier and the RV amplitude is small and the difference between RV amplitude is also small. So instead of using RVs, we can also go to transits and try to overcome this limitation (even though you‘ll not be able to measure ecc directly). #exoplanets5
