Metric temperatures work good for chemistry and bad for describing weather, decimalized units work well for chemistry and bad for carpentry and baking, metric weights are crap for everyday items as they are too far apart to be used without decimals, metric lengths have a similar problem of a meter being too long for general use and centimeters too small.
They work great for everything that requires precision, but for everyday general measures they all suck.
