I am probably doing the wrong thing by putting promotions and discounts on my paintings.

Since I put discounts, nobody is interested in buying anymore.

People probably don't want discounted paintings, they want to spend a lot because otherwise they think they are buying a cheap painting.

Or, quite simply, they do not like my paintings as much as I thought.
