I was just thinking this morning, while biking to work along a near empty cycleway beside a long queue of backed up crawling traffic, that our collective stupidity peaks at about 8:30 and 5:30 every week day. Almost every car had just one person, and almost every car was petrol powered. I think the affliction is called car-brain.

We could be so much smarter about transport. Fast commuter light rail in NZ would be amazing.
