Sarah O'Connor of the Road Safety Authority was interviewed on Drivetime yesterday about rising road deaths and spoke about a serious deterioration in driver behaviour over the last two and a half years since Covid lockdown.

On the face of it, if you are only looking at fatalities this might seem a reasonable assertion, but if you look at the number killed and seriously injured combined (KSI) there is an entirely different picture which shows the RSA has been failing for at least a decade.
