#WordWeavers 8Jan—How do you create characters who have depth?

I’ve…never really thought about it.

I’m a people watcher. I interacted with lots of complex people in my PR days. I’m a highly sensitive person with a higher than average level of empathy.

I could say those things make it easy for me to write characters with depth, but the truth is, I don’t know how to write characters—write people—any other way.

I observe, I listen, I empathize, and I write. (They'll tell me if I got it wrong.)
